I need to give a shout out to my girl Carina.

First.  Let's start with her name.  Carina Van Son.  Can it really get any more delicious than that?  no.  It can't.  This is exactly the kind of name that you want to have stick a hand in how you present yourself to the world, and make it all better.

Carina is a fashion maven.  She's also a writer.  She is the fashion editor and blogs for KissFM, has her own blog trimcarina.blogspot.com, and writes the monthly blog feature Stay Classy at GirlPower...

Put Your Panties Where Your Mouth Is

Posted by Jillian Harrington on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, In : home
Um.  Or not exactly.

But do go to your underwear.  At least in your head.  Go ahead, take a peak inside.  Pull out your underwear and take a gander.

What would you think if someone opened up your underwear drawer and started riffling through it?  I mean, aside from them being creepy for doing that.  But would you be proud?  Or a bit embarrased?  Or Mortified?

I've always been interested in dream symbology.  It was through this exploration that I learned that when yo...

Posted by Jillian Harrington on Saturday, August 27, 2011, In : home

1)  Let the light shine in

And the fresh air, for that matter.  Opening your windows can bring in fresh new energy into your living space, and revitalize it. Ch'i, which is essentially the Chinese word for lifeforce or energy, enters your home through the windows and doors.  (This becomes important when looking at furniture arrangement allowing the ch'i to flow properly).  To revitalize my home, I often will open the windows to let it in.

And on that note, when was the last time you c...

Posted by Jillian Harrington on Saturday, August 27, 2011, In : home

Oh Clutter, you sly devil you.  You really like throwing a party don't you?

It's true.  A little bit of clutter gets lonely, and starts inviting friends over.  And before you know it, you've got a clutter party on your hands, and you begin to wonder if you should call the cops in to break things up.  But! If you begin kicking some people out of the party, amazingly, the rest will follow.  After all, who wants to stay at a party when everyone is leaving?

In my apartment building, my door ...
