And why should you know about these eight authors, or read their books?

Simple, my dear.  Because they may just change your life.

I cannot state enough about how Brian Weiss affected my entire life, with his one simple book Many Lives, Many Masters.  Truth be told, if he did not write that book, I would not be a Life Coach today.

You see, the more I read about our past lives, the more I began to understand my present life, and what it was that I needed to do to unlock its secrets.  Because, I figure if we really understand why we are here, and what we are set out to accomplish, we can stop wasting our time and really MOVE.

So.  Get moving.  And check these people out...

  Brian Weiss, MD

"The Physician"

I like to think of Dr. Brian Weiss as the gateway drug to reincarnation.  He comes from a very non-woo woo background - he was a highly respected psychiatrist, who went to Yale and Columbia University, who could be called a Jewish agnostic, who worshiped science most of all.  But then.  Then he met a patient, "Carol", who rocked his entire belief system (read the whole story in his can't-put-down book Many Lives, Many Masters: The True Story of a Prominent Psychiatrist, His Young Patient, and the Past-Life Therapy That Changed Both Their Lives Many Lives, Many Masters), and he eventually had to come out of the spiritual closet.

Since his first book, he's written several others that delve into how past-life therapy can deeply heal you and open up your life, while also sprinkling about secrets on how life works.  He also travels quite a bit, giving talks and leading regression workshops - I was quite lucky to attend one myself.  He's a gentle soul with deep compassion, who just wants to help you open up to your full potential.  So.  Check him out.

Michael Newton, PhD

"The Professor"

So, after Brian Weiss lured me in, reading Michael Newton's books was like sitting down with a guy, who grabs a beer, and says "Okay, listen.  I'm going to tell you how it IS."  He particularly focuses on life between lives - meaning what life is like on the Other Side, and how it can affect our life here.  I like to think of his books as my encyclopedia (or wikipedia for you kids) of reincarnation & the life between lives.  He has compiled the information that he has gathered from all of the regressions that he has done, to get a consensus of what life is like on the other side, and why we live as we do.

Do I really need to say any more than that?  No.  He's amazing.  Go read his books.

Oh.  I guess I do need to say one more thing.  He also founded an The Newton Institute, to train people to perform Life Between Lives Hypnotherapy, so if that is something you are called to do, you've found an amazing resource.

Robert Schwartz

"The Seeker-turned-Guide"

Robert Schwartz is the latest reincarnation author to catch my eye, and I've been recommending his books left and right.  You see, Brian Weiss and Michael Newton first wrote their books in the 90s, so they've been around a bit.  Robert Schwartz, on the other hand, came out with his first book in 2007.  So, while not exactly new on the scene, I have a feeling that he is at the beginning of a very exciting path, and am looking forward to where it leads.

In his books, Robert focuses in on particularly the challenges that we face in life, by looking at the life stories of different individuals and what there particular life plans work.  Through his writing, he works to help you understand the beauty and gift that each challenge may offer.  By doing so, it brings in a softening to these hard edges that we so often live with, and helps us come to a deeper sense of acceptance on life and the people we share it with.  And, Robert gets extra points as he works mulch-dimensionally, and brings in mediums and channels to shed depth to each story.  Highly recommend reading at least one of his books to help you take a fresh look at your own life.

Your Soul's Plan: Discovering the Real Meaning of the Life You Planned Before You Were Born (his first book)

Your Soul's Gift: The Healing Power of the Life You Planned Before You Were Born (his latest book)
Bruce and Andrea Leininger

"The Family"

This isn't so much about the author, but more about the entire family.  Perhaps you've already heard of their New York Times Bestseller book, Soul Survivor: The Reincarnation of a World War II Fighter Pilot.

Imagine if you had a two year old (perhaps you did).  And imagine if that two year old would wake up in the middle of the night, screaming out full sentences about being in a plane on fire and not being able to get out.  You know, your two year old who can barely string three words together.  Yeah.

Instead of writing this off to a child's imagination, Bruce and Andrea - skeptics themselves - began to explore their son James' stories.  And discovered that he was a reincarnated World War II fighter pilot, who died in the battle of Iwo Jima.

Yes.  This blew their minds.  And it will blow yours as well!

Denise Linn

"The Soul Coach"

Truth is, Denise is actually much more than a reincarnation author.  She is a woman after my own heart, focusing on a wealth of topics to aid in your soul's personal growth and life experience.  She covers everything from space clearing to the alchemy of foods, and even has an institute to help you learn how to be a Soul Coach.

Her book "Past Lives, Present Miracles" has been called the most empowering book on reincarnation, so it's probably worth checking out, don't you think?  Her book is very much a hands on guide, helping you to dig in and do the work that you may have read about in other books.  Through her book, she helps you clear any blockages that may exist from past lives, without having to do any regressions.  Sound interesting?

Roy Stemman

"The Investigative Reporter"

Roy Stemman is a self-titled "skeptical believer".  He was not satisfied with past-life regressions, mediums, or near-death experiences.  He wanted The Facts.  And so, he set off, like the investigative journalist that he is, and began to poke and prod and do as much research as possible on this whole "reincarnation" thing.

What he discovered, he poured into The Big Book of Reincarnation.  I mean, with that title, how can you not read it?  And, if you're someone who wants a logical and systematic exploration, you've got it here.  Stemman is determined to have the reader make up their own mind, and simply wishes to present the facts that he has collected, so they can make their own, well informed decision.  Ready to make your own decision?

"The Scientist"

Jim Tucker, a child psychiatrist, is dedicating himself to bringing science to the world of reincarnation, through the eyes of the child.  Currently he is working at the University of Virginia, conducting research with children who report past-life memories.

In his books, you have the opportunity to ride along with him, as he explores some of the thousands of case studies and real-life examples of young children who are reporting things that are beyond the scope of mere imagination.

Carol Bowman, MS

"The Pioneering Mother"

If you do any research on reincarnation, you are sure to stumble across Carol Bowman, who also wrote her first book back in the 90's (it must have been a real birth period for reincarnation authors!).  Her book was lauded as groundbreaking when it arrived on the scene.

Carol became interested in past-life work when her young son, Chase, recounted to her, in shocking accuracy, his death on a Civil War battlefield.  And, even more shocking, after recounting his story, several issues he had been struggling with, disappeared.

Her work is very family oriented - offering guidance for parents dealing with a child's past-life memories, and also looking at how families can reincarnate together (including a family member dying and returning as a new born child).  So, if you are interested in not only learning more about reincarnation, but also on strength of the family unit, her books are a must read.
